Paul the Octopus Isn't News

Having a website and joking around with a fortune telling octopus is fine, there's a lot you can do with octopuses, but it doesn't mean they are news or that you should follow up on them as such. Case in point, PETA is now requesting Paul, the World Cup predicting octopus be set free, as reported by AFP.

Never mind Paul is used to getting his food in a little box decorated with a flag, PETA thinks "Paul would be fine in the sea." Apparently their concern is the size of the tank or something. Or perhaps they just bet against Paul in the last game and are now unable to admit that the predictions are true so far.

But hey, all of this you can find in the report here:
Yahoo News

It isn't news, and apparently PETA has nothing much to do on their free time, which isn't news either. What is sad is that this news has more background and research committed to it than many other stories. They even tell where the darned thing is from (England.)

Go Paul.
